Impact 1-Floodlight Umbrella Kit
Using a one light setup
The advantage of the studio lighting is the control it allows you over natural lighting or on-camera flash. Initially, studio lighting can seem very daunting if all you’ve done is natural light and on-camera flash. It is easy to achieve at least three different looks with a single light setup.
The light setups are:
Rembrandt Lighting
The light source is tilted at a 45° angle and placed at a 45° angle to the subject.
Paramount (Butterfly) Lighting
The light source is placed well above the subject and more in line with the camera.
Edge Lighting
The light source is placed at the same height as the subject and in line with the subject.
Can you tell what style of lighting was used for this picture?
Here is a link to a short video that I found on YouTube that explains the three lighting setups.
