The Pentax K-3 uses the built-in light meter for the P-TTL measurement also in live view mode, which results in some additional delay from shutter button press to the flash firing as compared to shooting in view finder mode.

When shooting in P-TTL mode in live view the shutter closes, the mirror flips down and the pre-flash fires and gets analyzed by the light meter. The mirror flips back up, the shutter opens and exposes the sensor, the flash fires, the shutter closes and reopens for live view.
