Warranty

In the US, the DA L 35mm comes with a paltry 1-year limited warranty, but in practice we don't expect any issues to bring your photographic pursuits with this lens to a halt. The most common deficiency to malign lenses is their autofocus motors, which will not be an issue with this lens as the autofocus is driven by the camera body. This is discussed in more detail on the Autofocus page of this review.

We're incredibly confident you shouldn't have any anxiety towards longevity and continued functionality should you decide to purchase this lens. We aren't the least bit concerned about it and off the top of our heads we cannot recall a single instance of a screwdriven prime lens failing to operate properly. This confidence also extends to the plastic lens mount, which we'll elaborate on further on the following page.

In Europe and Canada, the warranty is good for two years, while Australia shares the same 12-month coverage as in America.
