The bayonet petal hood fits snugly onto the lens body with a reassuring snap. It is rigid enough that moderate abuse should not be a thing to worry about. The pinch style lens cap securely covers the front element. The included felt pouch does very little to protect the lens. A padded lens case would be a higher quality alternative to protect against water, grime and general abuse.
Warranty
Included in the box is the warranty information. Samyang offers a 1-year limited warranty which is equivalent the US/Australian offering for genuine Pentax lenses but considerably shorter than what other third-party manufacturers such as Sigma and Tamron offer. Warranty coverage may vary by market.
