Pros: Great stepped down
Cons: A bit soft wide open, expands on wide angle

I bought this to replace the kit lens (18-55) and used it for a year on my Pentax K-r. For the time was the most used lens I had. It's quite soft wide open at 16mm f4 but gets really nice at f8-f10. It's best around 28-45 when used wide open. I later replaced it with a Tamron 17-50 f2.8

As a replacement for the kit-lens, it's a great!
