| Works the same as pentax one.
I will rather buy 2/3 of this over the genuine one.

Pros: | Less expensive, fits and is reversable | Cons: | Loose when mounted | | I thought I'd try one on my kit lens since it came without a hood. I know the benefits of a hood with more accurate metering and some image improvements as well.
It's dimensions are nearly identical to the Pentax hood, including the cutout for adjusting polarizing filters. I know this because I eventually got a genuine Pentax hood and it came without the piece for the cutout. The piece from this hood fit it perfectly.
The main downside to this hood is that the rails that fit onto the end of the lens are thinner than the genuine Pentax hoods rails and the hood is therefore not as tight when mounted. It is easier to lose this hood than the official Pentax hood as a result.
Overall, it cost about 40% of what the genuine article costs and does its job. I do prefer my newer Pentax hood but this served its purpose while I used it.
