Pros: | Size, finiture, feeling | Cons: | none | | I bought this item to bring me averywhere I go for travel, wen folded is 39 cm long!!! it is very solid even full extended, obviously if you extend teh center column it lose stability quite easily. I got the tripod with the BENRO BH0 ball head, with fast attach plate that I have to say it is really sold (i usally leave the k-5 with the 55-300 attached while I walk around holding only the tripod).
It is dust resistance and I can confirm that even after the extensive you on teh beach (with really fine sand) everything is still smooth, no scarf and no mechanical deficiencies, it is just great.
A minor drawback is that the minimum height is quite high: around 35 cm but you can always reverse teh center column if you need to shot macro at ground level.
It comes with a very nice folder with shoulder holder, really comfortabl even after 1 day of walking, hiking...it comes also with three replaceble metal "feet" if you are in mud or sand or whatever.
Highly reccomanded!

Pros: | Folds very small, sturdy | Cons: | Takes a little awhile to setup and fold | | I bought this tripod from Amazon for $99. I think it was a very good deal and I'm happy with the purchase. I wanted a tripod that folds down very small yet wasn't too short when fully extended. Both the ballhead and the tripod seem very sturdy and can hold my K-x with a Pentax 55-300mm or Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens attached easily. It has a hook for attaching weight, and a reversible center column for macro, which I haven't tried yet. Benro includes a nice padded case for it. The legs can be extended out at 2 different angles. At the normal angle it takes up less space than my other cheap tripod. At first it seemed like it took too long to set up, but I've gotten used to it. The quick release is a little hard to figure out at first, but you won't ever bump your camera off by accident. If you don't have any really heavy lenses then this is a really great tripod that I highly recommend.
