Pros: | Reliable exposure, power, rotating head, zoom | Cons: | No simple manual control over power | | Semi-automatic flash with head that can be zoomed, tilted and rotated. Head includes transparent fold-able diffuser. Uses 4x AA battery.
User can set ISO and then F4 or F8 option according to selected aperture on lens. Flash computes rest usin its own lightmeter.
Flash also has cable for some specific bodies.
Triggering is done through central pin.
I found this flash to be more reliable than AF540 FGZ P-TTL. ISO can be selected in range 50-800.
This means that you can take camera, attach any lens, select aperture F4 or F8 and select ISO. Then select the same on flash and take pictures. They are going to be perfectly exposed.
If you need to use some other F stop, just do some corrections on flash OR adjust ISO on camera to fix the difference.
For example ISO 100, F4 on flash. If you want to use F6.3 on camera, then just boost ISO on camera a bit to around ISO200 and it will be OK. Or lets say you want to use F2.8 aperture. Then just use higher ISO setting on your flash unit, so it will emit less light.. after some time you will master that easily.
