The Hanimex Automatic Extension Tube Set does exactly what it is intended to do; it provides a cheap, easy and effective macro option for regular lenses.
The 3-piece set also allows for the tubes to be mounted in any combination of the 3 lengths.
Fit and finish are good, and the aluminum tubes make a fine fit for those old, solid Takumar lenses. 
Attached is a photo of guitar strings taken with a Takumar 50 1.4, and using all three tubes.
