Pros: | light, flexible, simple | Cons: | too small | | I bought this hoping it would be exactly what I needed. I wanted a wrist strap because I already have a camera bag slung across my neck, I didn't want to hang the camera too, but I still wanted some drop protection. My requirements were:
- not leather. In my experience leather straps are too stiff, and when I put the camera back in the bag, I have to stuff the strap in with it. If the strap is too rigid, that is difficult with a small bag.
- no quick release clips. I've had too many plastic clips fail on me to trust $1300 of camera dangling from one.
- minimal. Size matters since I'm stuffing the strap, with the camera into a small camera bag. so big neoprene wrist pads and similar are unneeded, and counter productive.
It seemed the Joby was perfect (and cheap!). I love the design and construction of it. It works very well with one huge flaw. When fully opened, the loop you stick your hand through is too small for me to pass my hand through without using the other hand to pull the loop on. this makes getting it on and off a much more complicated process. three more inches of material and the product would be perfect, but as it is, I can't recommend it unless you have small hands.

Pros: | Comfort, Enables complete access to all DSLR controls, Attaches easily, Sturdy, Inexpensive, Can be used in combination with a BlackRapid strap. | Cons: | None | | Sometimes you want to travel light, with a small kit consisting of 2-3 primes DSLR and a bag. Other times you want too have a battery grip attached to the camera and utilize larger lenses. No matter what the camera configuration the Joby DSLR Wrist Strap can stay on the camera.
I was looking for a hand strap, tried the Pentax hand strap (which I returned as it limited my range of movement for reaching camera controls) when I found the Joby strap. It's perfect and leaves the tripod mounting base on camera accessible.
