Pros: It works and is cheap
Cons: It is so cheap, it gets easy to lose

Works on my K10 and K-5. Best on my K-01, since it operates the autofocus!

Pros: Inexpensive, works with K-x, K-r, and K5
Cons: Out of all the buttons only one works

It fires all three of the Pentax dSLRs that I own/have owned. It costs $3 shipped and takes a very common battery (CR2025) that can be found in places like Target and WalMart. It's sort of comical because it has a bunch of buttons on it but only 1 of them works with the cameras - but it does trigger the shutter from up to about 15 feet away in my experience.

UPDATE: The batteries run out faster on this than on the RM-E7 remote (even if its a bit more money) and that remote works the AF button on the K5 too. Lowered the rating to an 8.

Pros: Very flat
Cons: A lot of buttons are not needed for my Pentax cameras

Great device.

I always have it stuffed away in some corner of my camera bag, and when I need it it works right away.
No on/off switch, which is great.
I have had it for at least two year now and it still uses the original set of batteries.
The only thing I have to remember is that only the upper buttons have a function with Pentax cameras. The other buttons are for other brands.

At a fantastic price.

Pros: cheap
Cons: only 1 button works, big

only 1 button works on my Kx
It's pretty big compare to the pentax remote F.

It's so cheap that I wouldn't complain anything.

Pros: Good Range, cheap
Cons: useless buttons

I bought this remote as a spare to keep with my tripod in case I forget to pack my Pentax Remote. For the price it was a gamble I was willing to take. These are readily available on auction sites and electronics websites. This remote is much larger than the Remote Control F, sometimes that's good, sometimes bad. As far as I know, there is only one button that is functional, I think the remote can be used with different brands of cameras. It actually works better than the Pentax RC F, it simply has more range. A great buy for the price.

An update in 2013, this cheap remote is still going strong, I originally listed the large size (compared to the Pentax) as a con, it actually makes it easier to find in a pocket or bag. One of the best photography values that I have bought, for this I have revised my rating to a 10.
