Pros: | Well Padded, Water Proof, Easy Access | Cons: | Only Large enough for 2 lenses | | I was looking for a top loader camera bag to carry my Pentax K-3 with attached DA* 200mm lens (or F*300) and an FA 31. The Kata 16 fit the bill nicely. It's actually only designed to carry a DSLR with 70-200mm lens, but I found the outside pockets actually expand into the bag allowing a smaller lens to be stored there without a large protruding bulge to the outside of the bag. I looked at the Lowepro Toploader Zoom 55, but some reviewers complained the bag was not padded well and it did not have the two zippered side pockets the Kata has which would not allow the addition of another lens. I also looked at the Kata Pro-light Access 17 Holster but felt it was too large. I wanted a bag as small and lightweight as possible.
I know that KATA was bought out by ManFrotto but there is plenty of stock yet on Amazon. The reviews of the Manfrotto replacement bags are not as favorable as KATA.
I can highly recommend the KATA 16. The bag is padded extremely well and the interior yellow color makes it easy to find any small parts you may have.
