Pros: size, style, ease of access, secure
Cons: tripod holder has no bottom

I purchased a Lowepro Slingshot Edge 250 AW last fall. Now that I have been using it for a few months, here are my thoughts on it:

I wanted a new bag that I could take with me while at work and for photo walks, especially since I was going on a business trip overseas. I also wanted a bag that would help alleviate my aching shoulder. I researched a lot of different carry options for camera bags and narrowed it down to a sling style since they usually offer a wider strap, but are also limited in capacity (weight ) for the most part (and yes I tend to overload my bags). After researching what was available I decided to buy a Slingshot Edge 250 AW. I'm very pleased with it for my intended use: a camera with lens attached, and extra lens or two, a compact flash, and gear. It slings across the right shoulder and has a side access lower compartment that will open up across the back for total access to the camera compartment. A small feature that I have really come to appreciate is the carry handle at the top of the bag, it's great to carry in an out of cars and buses and restaurants.

It's black, small to medium sized, and styled for urban/city environments. I have gotten a few compliments on the bag both when traveling and when I've used it for work. It's big enough to hold my K-1 with the 28-105 lens attached, and two extra lenses like a small to moderately sized prime or zoom. On my business trip it carried my KP the DA 20-40 limited, and the D 10-17 zooms, as well as my AF201FG flash, a water bottle and some gear. I can even fit in the K-1 with the D FA 15-30, although it does take up the full width of the bag and I lose my spot to hold the compact flash.

The Lowepro Slingshot Edge 250 AW is a camera sling bag that according to Lowepro is "Made for urban environments". It is 10.51w x 6.14d x 18.90h in inches /*26.7w x 15.6w x 48h in cm. The exterior is polyester and it has a pocket that holds the a rain cover in case you get caught in a downpour. There are three compartments: front, upper, and lower.

The lower compartment is laid out to allow for side access of your photo gear, and has dividers and padding for the camera as well as a double zipper. Due to the layout of the velcro strips you can only configure the lens sections on one side of the compartment. This also means that when the camera is in the lower compartment the top of the camera is against your body. I originally thought this might bother me but it did not, including after carrying the loaded bag all day walking around.

The upper compartment is my catch all: it hold my pens, small notebooks, gear in general, and has a zippered mesh pocket as well as a tablet sleeve that hold my Galaxy Note 10. The sleeve can also handle my Surface Pro 2 without the keyboard.

The front compartment is a smaller and taller compartment, located on the outside of the bag. It has pockets for business card sized items as well as a pen. I use it to hold my point and shoot camera, a Canon G9X.

The back of the bag has loops for attaching your tripods and comes with two straps with plastic buckles for that purpose. The straps were wide enough to fit around the extending handle of my roller/carry on bag, a big plus for when trudging through an airport. I've had other backpacks with a fabric cup to hold the bottom of the tripod and this ones does not so your tripod could slip unless you have gorrllapod style tripod.

It's definitely a keeper for me. Nicely styled and not obtrusive, and keeps me from over loading myself. And, of course, it provides easy access to my camera gear.
