Pros: | Light, stable, quick to deploy, easy to use. | Cons: | Bubble level is - meh... | | I have had this tripod since 2011.
It's nice and light especially when compared to my Manfrotto 057 aluminum. Mine has a removable center column which is the way I use it exclusively. You can get much nearer the ground with the column out. Everything still works well, and I like how you can adjust the pivot resistance/friction on the legs via the clamps.
Yes it was expensive for a tripod, but well worth the money.
The bubble level it comes with is not of much use, but then again I rarely need to use a level for wildlife work with a gimbal head.

Pros: | Light weight, tall, reasonably stable given it's weight | Cons: | Expensive (it is carbon fibre), centre column could be shorter | | The dimensions of this tripod are similar to the aluminium 055 series, so you may want to refer to their reviews as well.
first, lets start with the good.
This thing is light (especially when paired with a light head like the 460MG). it's actually lighter than my aluminium travel tripod.
Height is good, it reaches my eye height even with the centre column down.
Stability seems to be best when the legs are at the 47 degree mark.
Now the bad.
Being carbon fibre, this tripod is much more expensive than it's aluminium brother.
Also, if you shoot low to the ground allot (such as for macro) you may find the centre column a bit long and end up using the column in a horizontal position.
I often choose to take this tripod when hiking (trading the carrying convenience of the travel tripod for the lighter weight and better stability of this one)
