I was looking for a grip for my K-7 and I'm on a tight budget, then I found this generic grip. The good thing about this grip is it's almost identical to the original grip. The texture is ok and the rubber grips are fine. Just like the original, it comes with two different battery bay: one for lithium battery and one for AA (6pcs) battery. The grip is made of plastic and some metal plates. The difference between the original is that the generic is not weather sealed, no rubber gasket at the side of the contact points, the front and rear dials are pure plastic, the labels are easily fades out, and the lock of the battery bay is made of thin plastic so be really careful of it when locking the bay.
All in all, this generic battery grip is fine. But wen I have more budget in the near future, I would buy an original Pentax grip. :) |
