I was surprised to see a listing for the plastic flash base, and disappointed that no one had reviewed it yet. These bases are life-changing. They're like a billion self-help books being injected into all your Chakra points at once. When I place this magical plastic foot onto my flashes, they can stand upright, and not just because I balanced them well and with the flash angled in only one specific way, but they can stand upright all the time no matter how I angle the flash head! In fact, this plastic foot is SO magical that it fooled Penn and Teller.
The logo on these, let me tell you about the logo. The logos are printed in fine gray ink with crisp, sharp edges on the lettering and fine logo detail. As an added bonus, the logo says Pentax, which matches a couple of my flashes. So kudos on that!
The plastic has a slight texture to it, pleasing and gentle. Sometimes, I rub the base up and down the side of my face. Not to exfoliate, but because this base's touch makes you feel loved. It also builds up a minor static charge.
I also want to say that using these flash bases changed my life. Every time I use these, something great happens. Just the other day, in fact, when I was using one of these, just seconds after I connected it to my flash, I got an e-mail from a high-ranking Nigerian intelligence officer with hundreds of millions in diamonds and gold that he needed transferred out of his country.
