Latest Review Posted Asahi Pentax Meter
Back in the late 70s early 80s all my pictures were taken using this meter on an S1a and an SV. I mainly shot Kodachrome or Ektachrome slide film and as I recall all exposure was pretty good. It's pretty basic but once you become familiar with it it's a reliable tool. A minor design issue is; as it uses the grooves on the side of the eypiece, so you can't then use a clip on diopter if you need one. This has only become an issue for me with age related change in vision :o........ There was a second version of the clip on meter, but I never had one of those. It's probably quite difficult to find a good working example these days and as with some of the early light metered cameras (SPs etc) you need to find an equivalent for the old mercury based battery. However, looks great on a classic SV! An elegant solution for those early meterless SLRs.
