A much more effective manual focus aid than the O-ME53 eyecup. The latter simply does not have sufficient magnification (1.2x) to sharply focus tricky lenses like a 500mm mirror. A necessity with my K200D (no Live View) and legacy manual glass. The FB allows you to get focus dialed, then flip up the eyepiece for composition. Brilliant. My only concern is that it sticks out prominently from the back of the camera and isn't exactly robust in construction. I can see it breaking off if the camera is handled roughly. This is one aspect that might make the O-ME53 a better choice for tough going. |
