Latest Review Posted | K&F S211 I was looking for a tripod that aside from studio and travel uses that would also have versatility for macro and other work. This fit the bill very nicely at a pretty affordable price.
It is a very useful and practical travel tripod. I have used it also for studio work although that is probably not what most users have in mind when buying this tripod. But it does certainly work in studio settings as well as I need it to.
I really like the transverse column for macro and various other projects. I will say this though: with any tripod with a transverse column you will need to use a weight for stability. There is a nice retracting hook on the center column for attaching a weight which while a common feature is definitely something that makes this tripod work well.
It comes with a nice carrying bag so you don’t need to fret about buying one.
One of the legs detaches for use as a monopod but for some reason I have never used that feature in the field. For the purpose of this review I did try it out the monopod with my K70 and my screwdrive 55-300 and it seemed fine.
The build quality seems pretty good, certainly good enough for my purposes so far.
My only ding is I prefer twist locks for the legs versus quick release.
But overall I really like this tripod and it serves my purposes well. And sometimes it goes on sale for less than $100 on their website so it really is quite affordable.
Also, it comes with a one year warranty but if you register... |
