Description:
The Nanguang CN-126 LED Video Lighting is just that, a box-like lighting panel with 126 dimmable LEDs (colour temperature 5,600 Kelvin, but comes with three filters, one of which is 3,200 K, one white diffusor and one pinkish filter - which colour temperature I am not quite cetrain of). The packaging tells you that you can use various sources (Sony and Panasonic LI-Ion power packs), including six AAs, or six AA NiMHs (works well with Lithium AAs, too, I hasten too add), but no external power source.

Comes with an battery adaptor (so that you can use other sizes of battery packs, than the built-in), a fairly sturdy articulated leg, with a hot shoe adaptor, and a foot (with a fake hot shoe) with a metal thread, so that you can attach it to your tripod.

Pros: Cheap, compact, powerful, and light
Cons: Cheap and light (thus not very heavy-duty)

This LED panel is available from various sources, not least Amazon.com, at anythingthing from 30, to over 50 dollars.

Have just used mine a short while (bought from LinkDelight, Hong Kong), but it does what it says, gives you lots of light, perfectly dimmable.

Will use my two mostly for macro photography, but they will also be useful for video, of course!

If you had a lot of these, you could probably create a super studio for very little money, and very little heat!
