I use this strap on several relatively heavy systems. Most recently the 645z. I find that the think foam shoulder section has enough stretch to reduce the perceived weight of a MF system. It seems to be constructed of much the same thing that is used in diver's wet suits. The stretch of the strap seems to cause the camera to "bounce" a bit and reduces the effect of the heavy camera.
The rear of the stretchy part has a 3/4" or so nylon strap, with some built in slack, sewn in in case the stretchy foam were to deteriorate.
There are a couple of plastic clips that attach the different parts of the strap together and I initially had some misgivings about their security. In fact, the mgr sells some additional velcro thingies to further secure the components together. In about 10 years of use I have not seen any indication that the connectors are likely to separate.

I bought this strap about four years ago. I dont like being an walking advertisement so I immediately scrubbed off the painted logo from the strap with a sponge and lived happily ever after. I preferred to attach the strap to the shutter button side lug and to my arca swiss plate underneath for maximum safety.
I also bought the gender switcher pieces Op tech sells ($6.95), because the one thing I didn't like was the lock down piece on the strap being on the back so with the strap going over my left shoulder I couldnt lock down the camera to my side while walking. I tried different things for about a year before buying the gender changers but they did the trick.
So yeah, I lost my Op Tech strap last weekend. So strange.... It just disappeared. Can't find it anywhere. No clue. Was going to just replace it with a new one but the price is up to $25 now so that plus the gender changers is $35-ish, so I decided to give the Peak Design slide strap a try for a pricey $65 after tax. If I don't like it, I'll quickly return it and order my Op Tech replacement. I have the Op tech connectors on all my cameras and a handful of the "Uni Adapter Loops" that I also use as hand straps, so will see how it goes keeping those on the cameras in addition the Peak Design strap...
Don't hesitate to try this strap it gets the job done nicely and is indestructable. Just don't let it get up and walk away on its own like mine did!

The strap works as promised with my K5 + DA* 16-50 (a rather heavy combo) for 5 days on a trip to Indonesia. It was hot so I was sweating a lot but it doesn't seem to wet the strap a lot, neither did it make it smell badly afterwards.
Only "complaint" I have is the price outside US, but oh well...

I started hating the default neck strap soon after I got my K20D. The camera would constantly bounce on my chest as I walked.
I really like this shoulder strap! The camera is always near my right hand - but one can easily change to the left as well. It is way more comfortable than the neck strap. especially for a full day hike/walk. This means I can take my camera with me at all times. Sometimes I even wear it together with my sling-style camera bag.

I've never liked a neck strap, so I went on a search for a better solution. I ended up with the Op.Tech USA Sling Strap for a couple reasons.
I didn't like the sling straps that attach to the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera since I always have a dedicated arca-swiss tripod plate installed. I also did not like the idea of my camerhangingng upside down from the bottom.
I own a couple other Op/Tech products and really like the quality and how versatile their system is. Almost all their products can be used in conjunction with another in some way.
When I first received the sling strap, I was very happy with my decision. The shoulder pad is perfect - the size is just right, the padding is great without being bulky, and the sculpted shape just fits right. Of course the rest of the strap is of the usual high quality.
Since I use a hand strap attached to the right side of my camera (with grip), I installed just one connector to the left side strap lug. In this configuration, the camera sits perfectly at the joint of my hip and leg and stays right where I want it when walking without bouncing or moving. Perfect!
I just ordered the compact version of this same strap to use with my Fuji x100.
For a quality strap that is well thought out with a perfect shoulder pad and connetor system, along with a very reasonable price, you can't beat it!
