Pentax UE-20 Plain Matte focusing screen
This is an accessory focusing screen intended for the original 645 camera body. Like the UE-20, it is described as having all the screen surface except for the central spot (11 mm diameter) covered by the fresnel lens, and has been designed for the slower speed lenses with a maximum aperture smaller than f/5.6 situations under which microprism and split-image area are not clearly defined in focusing. Unlike the UE-20, the UG-20 includes sectional lines. Intervals of both vertical and horizontal lines are 9 mm. It is described as suited particularly for the precise composing of a subject or for checking vertical or horizontal lines.
The "U" screen series has a different edge tab arrangement than for later 645 series screens and is not believed compatible with the later bodies.
