Pros: | Exceptionally well constructed and finished, quality optical construction with marked dioptric correction, eyecup compatible | Cons: | Subject to fungus invasion, heavy, somewhat indistinct rendering of viewfinder image | | This is a very useful accessory for low-angle, away-from-eye photography e.g. when the camera is on a tripod below chest level — this attachment eases the awful strain on Pentax 67-afflicted human backs!
I bought mine with a mild fungus invasion, hence the low cost. I'm up for such grubby challenges! Disassembly is easy and straightforward with a few jeweller's tools. The fungus was cleaned with hydrogen peroxied and polished off with excellent results. Assembly is trouble free. I think at this time, so very, very long after the first versions (6x7) and then the later (67) versions, disassembly for treatment of fungal invasion would be a requirement now.
The right-angle attachment requires unscrewing the dioptric correction lens fascia from the prism and then carefully attaching the device, taking care to ensure the threads correctly mesh with those on the finder. It must be removed prior to stowing the camera, as a heavy knock will damage the threads and potentially impart more serious damage on the proximal parts of the finder e.g. cracking, distortion, breakage of internal glass..
Several models of this attachment exist, including early Pentax 6x7 specimens with a thorium inner element. Yes, these are safe to use, so put conspiracy theories in the bin.
Other incarnations are specimens with and without dioptric correction indicators.
The viewfinder view is slightly smaller and may appear to unfamiliar users as indistinct. It does not cover the entire viewfinder frame, and visibility of the meter indication on the Pentax 67 is indisctinct without squinting around.
Dioptric correction is comprehensive and very effective, but will often require adjustment based on where the lens is focused.
An optional eyecup is a very worthwhile further accessory for this.

Pros: | Well built simple to use, with diopter adjustment. Unreversed & laterally correct image. | Cons: | No magnification adjustment. | | This is the one and only right angle finder for the Pentax 6x7 system.
It works like any 35mm version, except that it screws into the pentaprism. You will need to remove the prisms eyepiece frame first.
It has a laterally correct & unreversed image and a diopter adjustment, so that’s about all you really need in a right angle finder. The magnification is fixed at 1x and it accepts the pentaprism’s rubber eyecup.
I use mine for some tripod work when I want to keep the image unreversed. It does its job and is a must have for any Pentax 6x7 system. Price: The price I paid is for a “New Old Stock” finder.
