Pros: | Small. Covers well. Attaches easily and securely. | Cons: | None | | This is a very handy accessory. I use a 28mm lens often, and this adapter assures very even coverage. It comes with a protective flexible pouch, so it can knock around a bit in the bag without harm. It attaches and detaches easily, but is very secure in use. It's small enough to always have along with the flash.

Pros: | Compact, improves light quality and coverage at wide FOVs | Cons: | None worth mentioning | | This little adapter practically extends the functionality of the AF280 flash. It's listed as widening the coverage of the flash to match the angle-of-view of a 24mm lens on Full-Frame camera. Now Pentax's is being very conservative in terms of this coverage. When they say 24mm, they mean it provides a strong illumination all the way to corners of the frame. This means that in a pinch it can be used at wider focal lengths than 24mm and still get reasonable coverage — i.e., whatever vignetting you might get in the far corners can be easily fixed in post. I've compared it to Sunpak flashes using a 20mm wide angle diffuser and you get more light on the edges and corners with this Pentax 24mm adapter than with the Sunpak's 20mm version. I used this adapter with the DA 15mm for taking pictures in a cave and lived to tell about it: | |

Pros: | Makes flash more versatile, small and light | Cons: | None | | Another handy gadget to have in the bag. I got it for use with my K 24/2.8 and saw a marked improvement over the standard flash coverage. Inexpensive and worth having if you use flash and wide angle lenses.
