Pros: | Brighten the viewfinder above f/5.6 | Cons: | Messes with manual apertures | | The whole L?-80 range of focus screen is optimized to increase perceived brightness of lenses above f/5.6, but, being thus non-linear in answer to the aperture used, it messes with manual aperture lenses.
For stop-down lenses users, you'd be better off with a LF-60 screen made for the *ist (same dimensions), as it handles manual apertures (for m42 and PK lenses) much better.
