Pros: Protects the large from element from stray light and damage, looks good
Cons: Price

A substantial chunk of metal that fits well and looks good on the A* 85 F1.4 lens. Polished outside and machined grooves inside. It slips snuggly over the barrel of the A* 85 F1.4 lens backward for storage, but is not held in place by any sort of clip, so it comes off easily and may not stay on in a bag.

Pros: Solid build, Superbly engineered
Cons: Fairly rare, Expensive

Designed for use on the Pentax A*85/1.4 and A645 120/4.0 Macro - but also fits the FA*85/1.4 perfectly and effectively (the hoods for the FA* are almost extinct in the wild). Apart from the obvious job of reducing incidental light and reducing flare, it offers significant protection for the large front elements of the 85's. When changing lenses quickly I'm comfortable putting the 85 into the camera bag pointing down without having to take off the hood or put the lens cap back on. Expensive but well worth it

Pros: Serious solid lens hood
Cons: Difficult to get hold of now

Does the job perfectly, offers great protection to front lens element and can take the odd knock as well.

Also looks great, lol
