I bought this battery pack hopping it would permit me faster recycling and more photos per seconds using my AF 540. What it does is permits 1 shoot of about a photo per 1 second and a half. It is excellent for weddings and portrait shootings, not nature. Still I like it because it slowed me down, instead of 11 similar photos I have one or two, and that's good. But using the unit in modeling mode at HS on the AF 540, it is quite able to follow BIF. The leather case around the plastic battery holder is very nice but it is not meant to be attached, one strap is included to put it on your shoulder, or a using the belt slot, not useful. So far I am passing a strap in the belt slot that is attached to my tripod, so far so good but not practical to move around, again this item is mainly for modeling, portrait or weddings. Using 6 X C cells of 9500 mah, it permits me faster recycling times and it hold better charges during winter time. The coiled cord is heavy duty and stiff and also long enough, I love it, it holds well on the flash and the unit itself. The plastic battery holder is of good quality. Recommended
