Pros: No batteries, does what it says; measures light.
Cons: You need to understand how to use it, to get the best results.

I'm really showing my age now, but I'm sure there's a generation of photographers out there, who grew up with this meter and its other earlier cousin versions. But IMHO its use is still as valid today in modern photography. Mine in still used occasionally for difficult lighting set ups, as a form of confirmation, especially for incident light readings.

The Master V film speed dial suits both ASA and DIN specifications and is designed for film speeds up to 16000 ASA and 43 DIN.

For reflected light readings the instrument alone is used. For exposure determination by the incident light method the Invercone attachment should be fitted.

Reflected light and incident light methods each have their uses but it should be noted that the latter is particularly recommended for colour reversal work.
