Pros: | Great quality, multi-coated, protection | Cons: | Only that it is a little pricey, but worth it. | | I purchased a Sigma 150-500 second hand with one of these filters included. Very fortunate for me that it was. I am a believer in having a filter on the front of expensive lenses to protect the front element. High quality filters have a very minimal, if any, effect on image quality. The 86mm filter for the 150-500 is $125 new, but considering the cost of the lens and its front element, it is a worthwhile investment IMO. I can highly recommend this filter.

Pros: | Amazing multicoated filter | Cons: | No 49mm version | | Sigma really knocked this brand of filter out of the park.
They're more expensive than the junk filters you can buy anywhere, but they're top notch. They're also less expensive than the high end B+W filters, which I haven't tried.
They don't scratch and dirty nearly as easily as the Hoya multicoated filters.
The multicoat makes it almost impossible to see the glass except at extreme angles.
These are on every lens I shoot with that can hold a filter, because if I scratch one of these, it's a fraction of the price than if I had scratched the lens.
