I tried out many monopods in stores. Most of the big names easily collapsed (slowly or quickly) if I leaned on them (I weigh over 100kg/220lb). This doesn't! It simply stands up to whatever I throw at it. At only 390 grams, and on special at a very good price, it was an easy choice.
The twist-style locks are easy to disengage two at a time in the collapsed position.
Overall, this monopod does what it is supposed to do very well.
