Slik Sl-67 "Prototype"
supersize

Description:
Slik SL-67 Prototype tripod.

Extremely sturdy, 1970s(?) tripod that I use successfully with the notoriously vibration prone Pentax 67.

Comes with pano head, and 3-stage legs.

Weight: 4kg?

Available cheap from eBay - mine was £35.

Height: 75cm - 195cm

PS Thanks to http://foto.mjjess.de/ausruestung.html?lang=en for the photo.

Pros: SOLID! Height fully extended.
Cons: The head is a bit clunky to adjust.

I have had one of these since 1984, and it's still going strong. It is rock-steady, and its construction is bomb-proof.
It is heavy by modern standards, but that is hardly a negative when stability is essential.
Fully extended it is 196cm (nearly 6'6") to the mounting plate. Great for shooting over crowds.
If it had a better head, or if the one it has was removable, it would get 10/10.
