Pros: | suitcase size, extends to 62", stable extension tube system, tough, multiple feet attachments (better stability) | Cons: | none | | I bought this originally for hunting, but have since used it almost exclusively for hiking and photography purposes. The top has multiple accessories that came with the stick ('V' for shooting, comfortable wood knob, etc), but easily fits a tripod head also. I use the head I took off my Slik stick and it works great (Slik SBH-100 -- as long as I don't exceed the head's weight capacity).
I was worried when I bought this that I'd have problems with the legs collapsing when any weight was put on them. Keep in mind, the weight I'm talking about is me using this in the mountains for hiking - not the camera. It can handle my weight just fine and the camera is nothing compared to that. My wife's walking stick is not nearly as robust as this. I'm very happy with the build quality and durability of the item.
I've taken this on several trips in my luggage. It goes through airport checked luggage just fine and fits in most smaller bags just fine.
THis is a great item and well worth the money.
