Pros: Stylish, Durable, comes in great colors
Cons: Heavy (even when empty), shoulder pads does not rotate,

It is a great bag. Looks tough and durable. Zippers look nice too (If you dig carry messenger style). I have the purple color. But I found its use limited only as another laptop bag since when I slide my MSI gaming laptop inside, you cannot put that much camera gear inside unless your gear is in disassemble mode, why? because the laptop does not have much depth once you use the laptop compartment.

I gave it another try this time to use it as another office/day bag whenever I bring my other laptop (HP Envy 15.6"). But I the fixed shoulder pad is cumbersome.

Many pockets? Heck, there are and it was a blessing and a curse for me. Way too many that you always enter "Which pocket game" whenever you slid something in one of those many pockets.

The bag is heavy. even when empty. My shoulders are weak. . Not great for travel.

At the end of the day, your sore shoulder will dictate what are you going to put in on the next day.

I think the Discovery Series is much better than this because those are way lighter.

Pros: quite roomy, accessible, stylish, well made
Cons: lack of weather proofing, unnecessary extra small pockets

The Tenba Large Messenger bag has earned a spot as my main bag after a lot of research. What I normally carry In its main compartment are my K5 with a battery grip, DA 55-300, DA70, DA35 Ltd, DA15, A50/1.7, Vivitar 28/2.8CF, a Metz 50/A1 and Rocket Blower. In the zippered laptop pocket are the manuals for the K5 and Metz (when needed I can also fit an iPad). In the main flap’s pockets are several remotes, a spare battery, etc. Now this is not a light load nor am I honestly trying for it to be. The shoulder strap is very well padded but with this much loaded I just end up carrying it by the handle as a satchel. If I were to cut back on a few extra lenses and other items I would have no problem with the bag worn on my shoulder. There is a zipper in the large flap that allows access to the main compartment which I pretty much use exclusively to get to the camera and lenses. When I am driving the bag fits down between my two front seats and is very handy. Though there are straps to hold a small tripod I do not use them due to the rather large size of my folded tripod and the already weighty load. The construction and materials used are high quality and the bag looks and feels very well made. The one major drawback this bag has is that the bag is not weather proof, though I believe they describe the bottom as coated so you can set it down on damp grass or the ground. I have no problem with this and just keep some light trash bags tucked in a pocket just in case of a rain emergency.. So given all of the above I can highly recommend this as a very good camera bag in the messenger form.

Pros: Great price, good looks and well thought out design. Very well built and perfect for traveling.
Cons: None

For long distance traveling the Tenba Messenger “Large” is the best camera bag that I have ever used.

Not only can it hold a reasonable amount of photo gear, it also has numerous compartments for your travel documents, keys, coins, pens, phone and laptop. Being a messenger bag that comes in seven colours, you can walk around a big city and not scream tourist with a black camera bag.

On a recent trip I took a Pentax K2 film body with attached FA43/1.9 for my standard lens, plus a K20/4 for my wide and an A70-210 for my telephoto lens. I also took the K20 hood, five extra filters and 10 rolls of film. This kit was easy to carry around (the padded shoulder strap is great) and still left lots of room for maps and other travel things. You can also remove the camera section and just use it as a laptop messenger bag.

I have taken two major trips with this Tenba bag and it is rugged and very well built. There are no issues taking this bag as a carry-on and putting it under the airplane seat. Also the Tenba is inexpensive compared to the price of other camera/laptop messenger bags.

Now that I have tried the Tenba bag I’ll likely never take one of my black Lowepro shoulder bags again on a long distance trip. They are too bulky and do not have the extra space for travel items. The Lowepro bags also label you as a tourist with a camera, depending where you travel this can be an important factor.
