Pros: | Cheap | Cons: | Level not accurate | | It is made of rubbery material good for protecting the hot shoe.
The mounting is a little loose so I dropped it a couple of times when putting the camera back into my tight fitting bag.
The level is not accurate but that is just a trivial thing.

Pros: | Cheap, easy, simple | Cons: | none | | This small spirit level costs around $1-2 and replaces the hotshoe cover on the camera. It's cheap, simple, and protects the contacts while adding another, albeit small, level of functionality to the camera. Sure there are larger ones that have all three axes but they're typically around $10-20 and add an inch or so of lucite sticking out from the top of the camera. This simple little level costs almost nothing and is nearly as flat as the cover it replaces. The rails that slide into the hotshoe are softer plastic so they can get torn, otherwise this is a 10 for simplicity, cost, and functionality. | |
