Review Date: March 20, 2014 I can recommend this item: Yes | Price: $22.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Low cost, good directions, various shutter options, long range
Cons: none so far

For $22 this unit is superior to the "no name" brand I bought on eBay that would occasionally lock up. This unit comes with improved directions that address what to do when the unit gets out of synchronization.
The description does not list Pentax as one of the cameras this unit works with. However the direction do list Pentax as a camera that work using the Canon shutter plug.

The shutter release comes with several short cables, one for each brand of camera, and a coiled extension cable to reach shutter release plugs needing a longer cable.

So far it works well and for $22 with free 2 day shipping - it is a good deal.
