Pros: | Can be used to steady items being photographed | Cons: | Can be unstable - see review | | This item has advantages in some types of photography, i.e. to hold steady windblown items. However, it is extremely sensitive to vibration transmitted from the camera operator through the tripod - it really needs a second tripod to hold the plamp itself and/or a remote release for the shutter. Its length limits the focal length of the lens to be used - some people use two connected together to give extra camera to subject distance.
