Conquer your Fears!

DA* 16-50 Giveaway Entry #7

By Heie in It's Good to Be Fearless on Apr 15, 2013

Be different, stand out from the crowd, and conquer your fears with Pentax because “it’s good to be FEARLESS!”

Conquering your fear of heights by standing four feet back from a 3,000 foot cliff straight down into Yosemite Village on a 10,000 foot high granite slab in order to photograph a unique foreground with an iconic American landscape…FEARLESS!

Do you have a fear of insects? Do you have a fear of heights? Do you have a fear of explaining to other photographers why you don’t own a Canon or Nikon and you chose to buy a Pentax? Well…you shouldn’t! After extensive research, and I mean extensive, I confidently bought my Pentax K-5 and have never looked back since. If you seek adventure, enjoy being in the elements and most importantly conquering your fears in order to capture amazing photographs; then Pentax offers the photographic equipment to help you conquer your fears. Otherwise life will be mundane and you’ll be just like everyone else. Kind of like everyone else that owns a Canon or Nikon.

Conquering your fear of spiders by photographing the most venomous spider in North America one foot away from the front lens element…FEARLESS!

Conquering your fear of being the only non Canon or Nikon photographer and knowing your Pentax equipment is capturing the best image…FEARLESS!

I hope you enjoyed my submission and whether you select me or not I just wanted to say thanks again for your service. I served in the Army from 1997-2001 (SGT - 3rd Infantry Division HHB DIVARTY) and am proud of my service on a daily basis. My service shaped me into the man I am today and I'll always be thankful I was fearless enough to walk into the recruiting office to take the Oath of Enlistment, off to basic training two weeks later. It was a life changing moment! I've been a civil servant my entire career and have two beautiful daughters...which leaves me with very little discretionary income. I would love to add a DA* lens to my Pentax gear to further my passion of photography. If this sounds like I'm begging...I am! Yep, I'll beg!! In all seriousness though, I'm glad to see you made it back safely from your tour in Afghanistan and thanks for offering me a chance at winning such a beautiful piece of glass. All the best and my offer still stands for some free beers if you ever venture out to the Lake Tahoe area. Stay safe, thank you for your service, Sir!
