Pentax July Price Drops & Deals
Savings on the Pentax K-30, Q10, and WG-3
By PF Staff in Deals and Savings on Jul 1, 2013
As the K-50 and K-500 DSLRs prepare to replace the Pentax K-30, K-30 kit prices have seen significant price drops in the US. This means that if you're looking to step up to a DSLR, or if you want a weather-sealed camera kit at a good price, now is the perfect time to get one! The new K-50 is virtually identical to the K-30, so you will not be missing much by getting a K-30 at these new low prices.
The Pentax K-30 DA 18-55mm WR (metal mount) kit, previously with an MSRP of $799.95, has just dropped to $599.95. In addition, bundles containing the 35mm and 50mm prime lenses have all dropped by $50, and instant rebates, valid through July 31st, deliver added savings as shown in the table below:

With the upcoming launch of the ultra-compact Pentax Q7 ($499 w/5-15mm lens), its predecessor, the Q10, has just dropped by $100 to $399.95.
Next, the instant rebate on the Pentax WG-3 waterproof compact has been extended a second time, and will now expire on July 31st. The standard WG-3 is available for $249, while the GPS version costs $50 extra.
Last but not least, the $50-$100 instant rebates on the MX-1, K-5 II, and K-5 IIs will be around until the end of this week before expiring.
