Pentax K-3 + Grip Drops to $749

All-time low price at US authorized dealers

By PF Staff in Deals and Savings on May 27, 2015

With the Pentax K-3 II already available in Japan and scheduled to start shipping worldwide this week, the original Pentax K-3 has started selling at record-low prices.  In the US, the K-3 has dropped to just $749.00 at B&H Photo, and the deal includes a free BG-5 battery grip ($119 value), 4% back in rewards, and free US expedited shipping.  International shipping is available but costs extra.

Adorama matched this deal on May 28th.  The K-3 can be had for $703 on Amazon, without the free grip or rewards.  Note that all pricing is subject to change.  For users in the US, we recommend the Pentax DSLR 2-year warranty extension (3 years total) for just $19.95.

Although the Pentax K-3 is now the outgoing flagship, for most users it will continue to be the most capable Pentax DSLR currently available.  The K-3 II primarily brings niche improvements: built-in GPS (in place of the on-board flash), more powerful Shake Reduction, and an innovative pixel-shifting super-resolution system that can be used for still subjects while shooting on a tripod.
