Official Pentax K-5 Specs (unconfirmed)

Forum member Priyantha Bleeker has recently revealed what are claimed to be the official specifications for the Pentax K-5!

Official Pentax K-5 Specifications

As posted by the member:

  • Sensor: 16,93 Megapixels, 16,28 Effective Megapixels
  • Format is APS-C : 23,7 x 15,7 mm CMOS-Sensor
  • Colordepth: 8 Bit (JPEG) or 14 Bit (RAW)
  • ISO 100 - 12800
  • Extended to ISO 80 - 51200
  • Frames per second: 7 FPS !
  • Movie modes: Full HD 1920 x 1080 (16:9, 25 FPS)
  • HD-Movie 1280 x 720 Pixel (16:9, 30 or 25 FPS)
  • VGA 640 x 416 Pixel (4:3, 30 or 25 FPS.)
  • Viewfinder(seems the same as K-7): View 100% with a magnification of 0.92x
  • LCD/Monitor has the same specs as K-7: 921.000 dots 3inch
  • Autofocus: 11 Points, SAFOX IX+
  • Shutter: 1/8000s
  • Flash sync: 1/180s
