Pentax Serial Number Database
PentaxForums launches database for lens/camera/accessory serials
By PF Staff in Third-Party Announcements on Oct 9, 2010

Today, we are happy to announce the launch of a feature unique to PentaxForums, and requested by the community: the new Pentax Serial Number Database! The mission of this database is threefold: first, it will allow users to discern faulty items; second, it will build an overview of production trends; and third, it will establish owner records to deter theft. For privacy reasons, owner usernames are hidden from the public.
All forum members are allowed to add new items as well as serial numbers to the database. Features include:
- Search items and serials
- Search for your own serials
- Sort by type, category, name, serials, or date
- Add new items
- Add new serial numbers
- Add anonymously
- Edit or delete your serial numbers
- View links to item fact sheets
- View item thumbnails
- Enter detailed descriptions for serials and items
We hope you enjoy this new feature, and find it useful for historical purposes, or when shopping! To discuss this news, visit the official discussion thread.
