The Making of "Framed at OMSI"

How the winning photo of the "Cityscape, Framed within a Frame" contest was made

By mattb123 in Photo Contests on Mar 10, 2018

I live in Colorado but I travel for work (and fun!) periodically. In September 2015 I had a software conference to go to in Portland, Oregon. I often go out in the evenings at these events to unwind and shoot some photos of where ever I happen to be.
This evening, I met up with fellow forum member, stevebrot, for some dinner and an evening photo walk by the river. It was a nice, mild night and the new Tillicum Crossing bridge had just opened so we shot around there and then worked our way upstream. We came upon the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) which just happen to be one of my software clients as well. They have this old sub permanently parked there as one of their attractions.

By PF Staff in Photo Contests on Mar 3, 2018

We're herewith announcing our monthly photo contest for March. The theme for this month is "Birds".

The topic for our contest this month is "Birds". This time of the year is a good time to photograph birds, at least in the northern hemisphere, where the birds can be lured close to our homes in their search for food.

First prize is a $50 gift card to B&H Photo, second prize is a one year forum account upgrade, and third prize is a box of photo paper form Red River.

The official contest rules are found here.

Click here to submit a photo for the contest.

If you haven't done so already we invite you to browse our special gallery of last month's photo contest submissions and nominate your favorites.
