We're herewith announcing our monthly photo contest for December. The theme for this month is "Flowers Up Close".

Our theme this month is "Flowers Up Close". We'd like to see close-ups or even macro photos of flowers illuminated with some nice lighting. It is perfectly fine to use flowers from your florist in case winter has eliminated the ones outside! Good luck!

First prize is a $50 gift card to B&H Photo, second prize is a one year forum account upgrade, and third prize is a box of photo paper form Red River.

Voting has ended for our October, 2017 "The Sky" photo contest with the following result:

In first place was forum member mikeSF from USA who captured "Phone Home" (pictured above). This photo was shot with a Pentax 645Z and an smc Pentax-D FA 645 25mm F4 AL SDM AW lens.

Our runners-up were forum member noelcmn from South Africa in second place with "Drama in the Skies" and gzub from Poland in third place with "Symmetry". Click on either thumbnail for a larger version.

"Humor Me!" Contest Winners

It is our pleasure to announce the winners of our September, 2017 "Humor Me!" photo contest! In first place was forum member kiron Kid from USA who captured "Drinking Buddies" (pictured above). This photo was shot with a Pentaz ZX-30 and an smc Pentax-FA 24-90mm F3.5-4.5 AL [IF] lens.

There is not much to say about the winning Photo, says kiron Kid: "I was street shooting and I just responded to what I saw. I shot it on Fuji Neopan 400 film. It is a straight scan from the negative with little or no post processing. In case you're curious, I still mostly shoot film."

Our runners-up were forum member pschlute from UK in second place with "Share the Joke, Missy" and tgchan from Poland in third place with "Fruity Family". Click on either thumbnail for a larger version.
