"Hay Bale Kiss"

Thank you to everyone for voting for my photo in the "mirror image" photo contest. I’m guessing the cute factor tipped the balance. There’s otherwise not much to say about this photo I’m afraid.

I took Molly for a walk and saw these shiny bails of hay. I could see the potential for a photo and pointed out to Molly that there was another Molly looking out at her. The rest was simple. The K10D with its punchy CCD sensor just produces beautifully saturated images right out of the can, so I didn’t do anything to the photo above the usual levels and possibly some sharpening. Then convert to sRGB for the web.

So there you go! A lovely surprise to win and Molly herself is very pleased!
