"Backyard Wild Animals" Memorial Photo Contest
In memory of late forum member Rupert
By PF Staff in Photo Contests on Jan 31, 2018
Last month, the PF community lost a beloved forum member— James Williams, also known as Rupert.
Rupert had a passion for photographing (and pampering) wild animals that frequented his back yard, such as squirrels (which he called "Otis") and raccoons. To celebrate this passion, we're launching a special memorial photo contest with "Backyard Wild Animals" as the theme.
Submissions should be posted as regular threads in the Post Your Photos forum, marked with the Backyard Wild Animals Contest prefix. Limit one thread per person; descriptions or even stories are strongly encouraged. You can include between 1 and 5 photos in your submission, depending on the context.
Rupert was not only a very kind person, but also extremely generous both in our community and in the real world. He donated on behalf of more than half a dozen forum members to bring them Pentax eBooks as well as increased photo space for sharing their work.
In line with Rupert's giving spirit, the contest winner will receive 2 years of unlimited photo space here on the forum (an "Otis" Loyal Site Supporter account upgrade), as well as the opportunity to extend the same upgrade to any other fellow forum member.
The contest will be judged by the site staff, in cooperation with family members and friends close to Rupert. User comments on submissions as well as the story behind each photo will be taken into account. We expect to close the contest in early March.
