Ricoh WG-4 and WG-20 Now Shipping
Introductory $50 rebate on the WG-4
By PF Staff in Product Updates on Apr 3, 2014
The new waterproof Ricoh WG-4 (successor to the Pentax WG-3) has just arrived at B&H Photo and is now ready to ship. Pentax USA has also launched a $50 introductory instant rebate on the camera, lowering the price of the GPS model to $329, and the price of the standard model to $279. Order here.
In addition, the entry-level Ricoh WG-20 (successor to the Pentax WG-10) is now available from Target, both in-store and online. The launch price is $179; order here.
While the WG-4 and WG-20 are both very similar to the cameras they are replacing, a noteworthy addition to the Pentax waterproof lineup is a large array of mounting accessories. These accessories allow you to turn your compact camera into a GoPro-style rig for adventure photography; pictured above is the WG-20 with a Camera Holder and Suction cup mount. Learn more about all the available rigs in our accessory database.
One new WG-4 feature worth mentioning is the addition of a USER mode and a Shutter Priority mode, which allow the user to manually take control of more shooting parameters. The WG-3 and earlier models only allowed manual changes to the sensitivity and exposure compensation.
Stay tuned for an in-depth review of the WG-4 this summer.
