Sigma 500mm F4.5 Available
Longest AF prime for Pentax
By PF Staff in Product Updates on Aug 25, 2011

The new Sigma 500mm F4.5 EX DG APO lens has just started shipping in the Pentax mount! This is the successor to the old 500mm F4.5 EX APO (view reviews), and we have posted its specifications in our sigma lens database.
This is the longest autofocus telephoto prime currently available for Pentax. It features screwdrive autofocus and is a full-frame lens, making it compatible not only with all Pentax DSLRs, but also modern film SLRs. The lens is also available in Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Sigma mounts.
It retails for $4999 and is a special-order item that ships after 7-14 days. Currently, it is only available in the US only from B&H Photo, an authorized Sigma dealer.
The Sigma Pentax K-mount lens lineup currently consists of 37 different lenses for Pentax, making it more diverse than the geniune pentax lens lineup. All current and legacy Sigma lenses can be viewed in our lens database.
