Ricoh Imaging reveals more details about the new Pentax flagship APS-C

On July 22, 2020, Ricoh Imaging premiered another Youtube video showing off its yet unnamed Pentax flagship APS-C DSLR as well as highlighting silver-colored versions of several Star-series lenses and the recently announced 21mm Limited prime lens. The upcoming successor to the Pentax K-3 II was previously introduced back in May with limited information.
Hosted by RIcoh’s Hiraku Kawauchi, world renowned photographer and Pentax KP/K-1 user Keita Sasaki was given the opportunity to ask RIcoh’s Head of Product Planning, Shigeru Wakashiro, questions about the much-anticipated products in a talk show setting. Ricoh GR III Firmware v1.41 Released
New "full press snap" option for all GR III owners

Ricoh Imaging released the sixth firmware update, v1.41, for the recently-launched GR III. This update provides all GR III owners with the "full press snap" shooting mode from the GR III Street Edition, and fixes a GPS-related bug. Thus, it applies to both camera models. Like all updates, it is cumulative and includes everything added in prior updated firmware versions.

Enhanced feature:
The [Full Press Snap] function has been added as [Touch AF] setting in the C2 menu [Customize Controls]. By touching the LCD monitor, focus on the specified [Snap Focus Distance] then release the shutter.
- Full Press Snap is not possible in the movie, macro, and self-timer shooting modes.

Bug fix:
[Correct location information record]
In the case of south latitude or west longitude, the location information acquired from the smartphone was not recorded accurately in the Exif GPS tag, and the GPS location display in [Playback Details] was corrected.
Note: The dedicated end screen of "RICOH GR III Street Edition" (version 1.40) will be maintained even with the new firmware version.
