High-end ultra-wide zoom lens

The HD Pentax-DA* 11-18mm F2.8 is one of the most recent additions to the Pentax lineup. This extreme wide angle lens, which is designed to cover the APS-C image circle, complements the 16-50mm and 50-135mm F2.8 lenses launched in 2007. Together, these lenses create a trio of fast, professional-grade zooms for the APS-C format.
The new 11-18mm has All Weather sealing, uses Pentax's fast and silent DC focusing motor, and includes modern HD coatings. It also incorporates several elements meant to facilitate its usage in cold weather, which makes it a rather unique product.

Peak Design is a company in no need of introduction. It has made a name for itself in recent years as a well-liked manufacturer of camera bags and accessories.
After offering a lineup of everyday bags ranging from the backpack to the sling, tote and messenger, the company recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to promote its new range of products, called the Travel Line. Centered around a Travel Backpack, this line also feature packing tools such as pouches, cubes and the like.

The Ricoh GR III is an interesting release from Ricoh. Surprisingly popular for a niche product (some stores in Japan listed it as their best-selling camera in March 2019), it has a lot going for it. The GR line has gathered quite a following over the years, and this new addition follows in the tracks of its predecessors.

Think Tank first launched their popular Retrospective line of camera bags many years ago. then, in the summer of 2018, the company decided to update the entire lineup to improve their bags even further. Changing a winning recipe is always risky; Think Tank applied specific, incremental changes to their Retrospective bags without loosing focus on what made them popular in the first place.
Today we take a look at the Retrospective 30 V2, one of the largest bags available in this lineup. Keeping many of the qualities of the first version, the V2 incorporates lighter materials, newer design elements and improved features.

Pentax M, FA, and D FA* 50mm F1.4 comparison

The Pentax-D FA* 50mm F1.4 is the 6th generation of 50mm F1.4 lenses produced by Pentax for the K-mount. The previous versions all kept the same basic properties: a compact body, lightweight and unobtrusive, with reliable optical performances.
The D FA* broke the mold, with a significantly larger body and totally redesigned optical formula. This new lens comes with the promise of unparalleled results.
This review takes a look at the D FA* 50mm and compares it with the film-era FA and M 50mm lenses. All share the same focal length and maximum aperture, but are vastly different. The M lens is a fully manual, metal-bodied lens, while the FA sports a plastic body and features autofocus and automatic exposure.
About 40 years separate the M 50mm to its D FA* counterpart. Things are sure to have evolved, but to what extent? Read our comparison review to find out.
