This is my first DSLR after having Bridge camera for long. After ordering, I just couldn't wait for the delivery date and as soon as I got it, I got the shutter busy clicking. Took some 500 odd shots in couple of days mostly in Av mode.
Image Quality: IQ is really impressive with Kit lenses. Awesome low light performance. I took some shots in ISO3200 and couldnt believe myself when I saw the full uncropped view. :cool:
Handling: Ergonomics is something that you will simply love about this camera. It perfectly fits in my hands and rubber grip provides extra cushion. I have tried other cameras from my friends like Canon T2i, D3000 and D5000 but having K-r in your hand is really comfortable. You wont feel fatigue if you have it in your hand for long.
AF Performance: AF is fast enough to catch moving object but noisy all the times especially when its hunting in low light or Live mode. Thats okay for me as long as it doesnt affect my images :)
User Interface: Guide Display has lot of information and you will get lost while tweaking settings. I am used to it in month now but for someone who is not into digging things will find it real hard to learn.
Supplied Battery: Battery performance is not up to the mark. I am constantly getting 250-270 per charge with almost no flash usage. Good news is that there is optional battery adaptor that enables you to use AA batteries.
